These are the official rules for the CaddieBib Season contest. In Season 1, the first player to 50 counted friends wins a Scotty Cameron putter. The CaddieBib app shows the same rules on the Season page, under Rules.
No purchase is needed to enter or win. Buying something does not help you win.
Apple is not a sponsor of this contest and is not involved in it in any way.
Section 1Who runs it
CaddieBib LLC runs this contest. In these rules, “we” and “us” mean CaddieBib LLC.
Email: support@caddiebib.app.
Section 2Apple is not part of it
Apple is not a sponsor of this contest. Apple is not involved in it in any way.
Apple does not pick the winner or give the prize. Send your questions to us, not to Apple.
Section 3Who can enter
Anyone with a CaddieBib account can enter. You must be 13 or older to use CaddieBib, as our Terms of Service say.
If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s OK to win. Your parent or guardian accepts the prize for you.
People on the CaddieBib team and our test accounts cannot win.
Void where the law does not allow it.
Section 4When it runs
Season 1 starts the day CaddieBib launches on the App Store. It lasts about 2 months.
The exact start and end times show on the Season page in the app.
Counts start at 0 each season. We may run more seasons. Each one shows its own dates, goal and prize in the app.
Section 5How to enter
You are in once you have a CaddieBib account. Your code is on the Season page.
Share your code with friends. You do not need to buy anything to enter or to win.
Only share your code with people who want it. Don’t spam anyone.
Section 6How a friend counts
A friend counts for you when both of these happen:
- They type your code in CaddieBib before they start their free trial.
- They start Apple’s free trial of CaddieBib during the season.
Apple asks your friend for a way to pay when the free trial starts. Your friend can cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and pay nothing. They still count for you if they cancel.
Each friend can use one code, one time. Each friend counts once.
You cannot count yourself.
Fake, test or duplicate accounts don’t count. One Apple account gets one free trial, so it counts once at most.
Trials in test versions of the app, or through Family Sharing, don’t count.
We count a friend when Apple tells us the trial started. This can take a little while.
Do not pay or trade anything to get people to use your code.
Section 7Faces
You unlock a caddie face at 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 friends. The first player to 50 also gets the champion’s face.
Faces are just for fun in the app. They have no cash value. Faces you earn stay yours.
Section 8How the winner is picked
In Season 1, the first player to reach 50 counted friends wins.
If two players reach 50, the one who got there first wins. We go by the time Apple told us about each player’s 50th friend.
Before the prize ships, we check the winner’s friends. We may take off any friend who does not follow these rules.
We may remove any player who cheats or tries to fake a count. If we remove the winner, the next player to reach 50 that season wins.
We tell the winner in the app and by email. The winner, or their parent or guardian, must answer within 30 days. If not, the prize moves to the next season.
Section 9The prize
One Scotty Cameron putter. Model: [Owner: add the putter model]. It sells for about $500 (approximate retail value).
There is one prize and one winner each season.
You can’t swap the prize for cash. You can’t trade it or give it to someone else. If we can’t get that putter, we may send one worth the same or more.
We ask the winner for a shipping address and use it only to send the prize.
If no one reaches 50 by the end of the season, no one wins that season. The prize moves to the next season.
Section 10Taxes
The winner pays any taxes on the prize. We may ask the winner for a tax form before the prize ships.
Section 11The leaderboard
The Season page has a leaderboard. It shows each player’s rank and how many friends count for them.
Your name is hidden unless you turn on “Show my name on the leaderboard.” It starts off for everyone.
When it is off, other players see “A golfer” and a plain face in your spot. When it is on, they see your first name. They also see the first letter of your last name.
You always see your own spot as “You.” Your rank counts the same either way.
You can turn it off any time. Your name comes off right away.
The winner’s name follows the same switch.
If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you turn it on.
People on the CaddieBib team and our test accounts are not on the leaderboard.
Section 12Your privacy
We use your info for the contest the way our Privacy Policy says. Read it at caddiebib.app/privacy.
Section 13Changes
We may change these rules, or pause or end a season, if we have to. For example, because of fraud, a technical problem or the law.
We will post any change in the app and on our website. If we end a season early, we will tell players in the app.
Section 14Limits
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for:
- Counts that are lost, late or wrong for reasons we do not control. For example, a problem with Apple, the internet or a phone.
- Any harm from taking part in the contest, or from the prize.
Apple is not responsible for anything about this contest.
Our Terms of Service also apply, including their limits on what we owe you. Where they and these rules differ, these rules win for the contest.
Section 15Disputes
Talk to us first at support@caddiebib.app. We will try to fix it.
These rules follow California law, the same as our Terms of Service. Section 20 of our Terms says where a dispute goes.
Our choices about the contest are final, as far as the law allows.
